There is an important shift happening in our world. As you are reading this, no doubt you have recently had conversations with others or have experienced in your own life a transformation and a new way of looking at the world. This is part of the awakening that is happening within individuals and on a larger scale, an awakenening that is happening within humankind.

 I have felt this shift for as long as I can remember, so I am overwhelmed at what is happening right now. Author of the bestselling book, The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle, has partnered with the distribution power of Oprah to share messages that will greatly support the transformation within individuals. Eckhart's recent book, A New Earth, is the cornerstone of this effort. He will be teaching a web-based course each Monday evening, beginning on March 3 for 10 weeks. Each week will highlight key messages from individual chapters. As Eckhart says, this process if for those that are ready--those that feel a sense of stirring within, who are ready to approach life in a new way. "Our aim is to explore through the teachings of the book the most important question you can ask: What is the purpose of my life and how do I fulfill that purpose?"

As I go through this process, reading the book, and participating in the courses each week, I will capture my thoughts here. This book is about each individual as he or she is reading it. I will be paying particular attention to the thougths and emotions that arise as I am reading, for I know they are important messages. I will highlight key phrases and share my perspective on how I can apply them in my life.
